Yes, completely new save, I cleared all existing saves at the time.

So you started the game with that profile active, and started a new game with that profile, and when you saved that game by hitting ESC and picking SAVE, instead of showing up in the Profile Folder, it showed up in the main save folder?

hmmm

okay jsut triued soemthing weird/random and seems to be working. I jsut c opied all the sagves from the main into the profile (only copied, didn't delete them jsut in case). played skyrim through skse option on Vortex (how I always do it) and had the option to load game. So laoded the last save from it. ALl the progress was there. I then saved again through the in-game option thing. made a save 4. closed Skyrim. Checked the save file location for the profile. and Save 4 is int he profile correctly, and not in the main

Exactly, that's what I suggested on the previous page

You either have to copy or move your main saves into the "Ttv8Tpobk" directory or start a new game

Keep in mind, only games you save through the Menu will go into that folder, if you use the console to save a game it will go in the main save directory

When I tried that yesterday (when I had the problem) it didn't work. refused to acknowledge the saves I had moved into the profile folder after I had tried saving first time with the profile thing (was again a clean start at time of testing too. so profiule setup, new game etc)
