Biervampir
HiImake it short, i have a suggestion, because I found it really annoying to set dependancies for almost every mod. Few suggestions:- Ask durring installation of the mod, if that mod should have a load after/before dependancy over another mod. (like the overwrite mod for previous MM)- Set dependancies according to the installation date- Clear out all cycled dependancies (so you don't have to click every single line) thanks :)
HadToRegister
Hi Imake it short, i have a suggestion, because I found it really annoying to set dependancies for almost every mod. (like the overwrite mod for previous MM)- Set dependancies according to the installation date- Clear out all cycled dependancies (so you don't have to click every single line) thanks  You shouldn't have to be setting dependencies for "almost every mod" If you are, then you're doing it wrong Also, asking for a LOAD BEFORE or LOAD AFTER while installing the mod won't work, because Vortex needs to scan the files AFTER the installation to determine if there are conflicts, also, since Vortex doesn't go about overwting mods in the Draconian way that NMM does, it isn't necessary, because if you pick MOD A loads AFTER MOD B, and it turns out it's wrong, all you have to do is change the rule to MOD A loads BEFORE MOD B and Vortex restores the files and switches them around accordingly.Having it do it like NMM during installation would be a step backwards. Dependencies based on installation date doesn't make sense, if I decide to install a mod in June, that should be overwritten by a mod I installed in April, then the June mod will always win out over the April mod and I wouldn't be able to change that I have a mod list of 226 mods for SKyrim SE, I have roughly TEN Dependency Rules for my load order. If you're making rules for every MOD or PLUGIN, Then you're trying to use Vortex as if it is NMM. Biervampir
I admit, yes I did it wrong the first time. Now I'm gonna fix it myselfe. Dependencies based on installation date doesn't make sense, if I decide to install a mod in June, that should be overwritten by a mod I installed in April, then the June mod will always win out over the April mod and I wouldn't be able to change thatFor example, I install mutiple texture mods, but I only want Dungeon Clutter retexture mod, but I have SIMM and 3 other Texture mods, which changes the bed, lighting, fire, etc., I would like to be able to say, I install that mod 1st, so that mod should lose to the mod I install as 2nd. That would be convenient IMO.I just started using the Vortex and I weren't awear of dependancies and they screwed me a lot. That's why I suggest some solution I come up with, to make life easier. That's why I suggest some solution I come up with, to make life easier. You CAN do that, AFTER they're installed, when Vortex tells you there's a CONFLICT, you just click on MORE or SHOW and Vortex will filter your load order so all you see are the conflicting Mods. Then you click on the Red Lightning Bolt for Dungeon Clutter, and when the conflicting list pops up, you make sure that Dungeon Clutter LOADS AFTER SMIM and those 3 other Texture Mods. That's the same thing as picking which mod overwrites another during install with NMM, except with Vortex, it keeps track of the files for you, so you don't have to uninstall all the mods and reinstall all the mods if you set them in the wrong order. Like in this example, Vortex told me that Marts Mutant Mod RC 62 was conflicting with MMM 6_2-Update, and bzFORMalesV1dot6d, and Updated_Unofficial_Fallout3_Patch_Mod_Manager_VersionSo I clicked on the red lighting bolt next to Marts Mutant Mod - RC62 and told it to LOAD BEFORE the UPDATE Mod, (Because an update patch should ALWAYS go AFTER the Mod it's patching, I also told Marts Mutant Mod - RC62 to load BEFORE bzFO3 Males, because I know that BzFO3 Males is supposed to overwrite the textures in MMM - RC62.THEN I told MMM - RC62 to load AFTER the Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch, because the Unofficial Fallout 3 patch goes right underneath the official Game ESMS So essentially it made my load order like this Unnoficial Fallout 3 PatchMMM RC62MMM 62 UpdatebzFO3Males
