CHMS
As title says.... Why? As there are fixed directories to put mods (e.g. ...FalloutNewVegas\Data) the mod directory for Vortex can only be for download/backup/storage.And Vortex can't handle this if on a different hard drive? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Are You using an Amiga or older "system" to create Your programs? And when I decide to use another directory (Vegas mods to Vegas directory) Vortex refuses to do so...It MUST NOT tell me what to do on MY COMPUTER. It may suggest or even warn but it's MY DECISION. So the only possible decision was removing it after a runtime of about 2 minutes
Guest deleted34304850
two minutes gives you such insight and such knowledge that your stance is inarguable. if you do have problems then look at this post and fill it in so that people who have managed to get the program to work can help you; https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7332636-how-to-post-request-support-for-vortex/

So the only possible decision was removing it after a runtime of about 2 minutes I'm not sure what the intention of your post was, other than to show everybody that you briefly checked out the mod manager, didn't understand any of it and uninstalled it within 2 minutes. This isn't a "Speed Dating" service. As there are fixed directories to put mods (e.g. ...FalloutNewVegas\Data) the mod directory for Vortex can only be for download/backup/storage.NMM did this as well There is a DOWNLOAD directory where your Download Mod ARCHIVES go (download/back/storage, you called it?)There's a Mod Staging Folder, where your installed Mods go, and where the HardLinks are generated from, into your game DATA folder And Vortex can't handle this if on a different hard drive? The ONLY folder that needs to be on the same drive as the games is the MOD STAGING FOLDER, the one where the mods are unzipped and installed to and where the hardlinks are generated to your Game Data folder. It's not that Vortex can't handle this if it's on a different hard drive, it's the GAME ENGINES that can't handle it., (if you're going to rant, at least get your facts right) And when I decide to use another directory (Vegas mods to Vegas directory) Vortex refuses to do so... Because putting your MOD directory INSIDE your GAME DIRECTORY is the WORST thing you can do, and it causes problems with the game, which is WHY the Developer removed the ability to do that, because there were tons of support threads where people had installed their mod directory INSIDE their Game Directory, so the Developer removed it. It MUST NOT tell me what to do on MY COMPUTER. It may suggest or even warn but it's MY DECISION. That's fine, but your DECISION is going to cause you to come right back in here using CAP LOCK FURY and yelling that Vortex broke your game after you put the Mod Directory in the wrong place.Which is why the Developer REMOVED that option.
