doahs
My Vortex app was updated yesterday and since then the MCM menu and all Skyrim mods have disappeared. I get error messages saying SKSE, SKUI, etc are not working. I can load the MCM menu and all mods on Mod Organizer and I've had to revert to that application to play the game. I can still load mods with Vortex, it's just that the game does not recognize the mods when the game is loaded by Vortex. This results in no Mod menu appearing in the menu screen. Looks like an error in the last update to Vortex.
Guest deleted34304850
are you saying you had a perfectly working game and mod set up then you updated your mod manager and that action removed/disabled your mods?are you 100% sure that everything was working before the update? BigBizkit
It sounds like you are not launching the game with the SKSE launcher, hence why Sky UI would give you an error message. It does not seem like a Vortex inherent issue to be honest.
DarmanSejuk
I just installed the new version of vortex today (3/1) and when I tried to load the game I got the same error stating SKSE, SkyUI and other mods aren't working. Everything was working properly before the update and I confirmed that Skyrim and SKSE are install and haven't updated. I've tried deploying the mods again and ran LOOT but the same thing keeps happening. Any ideas?
doahs
I was informed by Vortex support that Vortex was designed to work independently of MO2 and NMM. This might be why Vortex is not loading mods, while MO2 is still working ok. I uninstalled MO2 & NMM and also uninstalled all the mods in Vortex before doing a fresh install of Vortex. Vortex still won't start up the mods in the game. I have had to dump Vortex and go back and re-intall all mods on MO2. Maybe I'll return to Vortex when MO2 breaks. From your post you make it sound like you're trying to use NMM, MO2 and Vortex on the same game.
MasterD1mwitt
I've been having this problem, too. I put off downloading the update in case it messed with my game, and sure enough it messed with my game. I didn't change any of the mods or tools I had enabled, only downloaded the update, and now I'm getting that pop up saying that SKSE won't work every time I start up Skyrim. Does anyone have any solutions?
Guest deleted34304850
a good first start would be to not hijack a thread with your issue, instead open a new thread with the issue you're having. do that and lets see how we go?

I apologize, I was just iterating that I've been having the same issue and explaining what I did because none of the responders in this thread have had any advice on how to fix this problem. Will look elsewhere for more helpful information
