ThelebKaarna
First-off, to be clear on terminology, "Internal LOOT" refers to the LOOT that is 'built-in' to Vortex itself, that Vortex uses to sort its own load order; "External LOOT" refers to the 'standalone' LOOT application that is installed independent of Vortex. *DISCLAIMER* Very important, if you are using Vortex to mod your game(s), please DO NOT attempt to use Internal AND External LOOT simultaneously to sort your Load Order. Doing so will (likely) yield conflicting/different results. This is due in part to "Rules" and "Dependencies" you may have set-up in Vortex that External LOOT won't recognize. Thank you. Good morning, I use External LOOT for one purpose and one purpose only: To double-check for "Warning" messages that I have personally found Vortex/Internal LOOT to have missed. This has actually happened to me twice. The first time was a 'mod-specific' warning, and can be read about in This Thread (in particularly, read the last two posts). The second time was when I exceeded Skyrim's 255 plugin limit. In External LOOT, I received the following 'non-mod specific' Warning: "You have a normal plugin and at least one light master sharing the FE load order index. Deactivate a normal plugin or all your light masters to avoid potential issues". Upon receiving this Warning in External LOOT, I immediately launched Vortex and searched everywhere I could think of for the same message... but never found it. I have since rectified that particular issue by ESL-flagging all qualifying plugins, which caused the Warning Message in External LOOT to disappear. Unfortunately at the time, it didn't occur to me to take a screenshot of the Warning message. However, if you look at This Screenshot taken in External LOOT, the Warning Message I had received appeared directly below where it reads: You have not sorted your load order this session. So in External LOOT, there's a place for non-mod specific 'general' Warning Messages to appear (in the General Information header, above all the plugins). My question is, is there similar place in Vortex where non-mod specific Warning Messages (or other messages) are displayed? I of course realize there are mod-specific Warnings ('Bell' icon directly on a mod's line), but are there 'General' warnings displayed elsewhere as well? Now some may argue; "I don't exceed 255 plugins, so don't really care about...". But I would point-out, what about other potential Warning Messages that would pertain to you (that you might be missing)? Thanks for taking the time. Appreciate any comments. Thank you. Zanderat
Agreed. Vortex should display the same warnings as external LOOT. Also, I would like to see the BASH tags displayed, as external LOOT does. Thanks.,
