Vindekarr
Interesting, they're taking a real risk with the mechromancer.
hoofhearted4
Interesting, they're taking a real risk with the mechromancer. how do you consider it a risk? sounds like they know exactly what they are going to do with it, and not only that, what they say they are doing with it sounds awesome. a class that can not only be good for new players, but can also be some real fun for veterans! Gearbox knows what they are doing. Borderlands in and of itself was a risk, and it more then succeeded, every risk in Borderlands 2 is just going to make it that much better. its the risks that made the game great. the more i see from this game, the more i just cannot wait to play! i need this game soo bad!!! lol
Vindekarr
It's a risk in the sense thta that's going to be hard to pull off. Still, I like the idea, she sounds like exactly the sort of character I like playing: support/pets. Same reason I went Soldier. I like the punky aesthetic aswell. ub3rman123
I wonder how the modding will be for this game. I didn't really like the abuse of weapons modding in the first game myself where everyone on PC had a glitched Shredder Shredder that kills things in 1 hit, though I didn't mind swapping out scopes and such on my own weaponry. Best idea would be if you could swap out parts on guns in-game. An SDK would be awesome, though.
Vindekarr
The original concept(this would have been 2006) which introduced me to Borderlands, was in a Magazine-it was an early concept of Lillith(I assume, it was a player's character using Steele's textures/siren skills) two spiderants and a runner. The contemporary artstyle hadn't evolved yet, so it was still going for a "realistic" look. This article was mainly about how weapons were customisable-the original concept was supposedly that in Borderlands(1) you would literally build your own weapons from parts, rather than finding them whole, a little bit like in Gran Turismo where you buy a car then usually replace half it's mechanical components before you even start the engine, or Armoured Core, where you build your mechs yourself from existing parts. I had initially intended to mod Borderlands-it was half of why I bought it on PC, however, as things evolved I decided not to, and I sort of feel like I was the only guy still plugging along totally vanilla. Eventually it gave me a real sense of pride, but for a while I felt morbidly underpowered
