I put some of the more recent things below after ddiddling with it again.

It seems to attempt to be reading from the "F" drive, which I don't use anymore. I have switched to using the drive "G"

Did you tell Vortex that you're using drive G instead of F now?

It doesn't look like you did because Vortex still expects to find everything on drive F.

How do I tell that to Vortex? It freezes up before I can do anything.

Sorry for being so late, working and all that.

It freezes up because you manually moved the folders outside of Vortex, and it's still looking in the old place for them.

I would suggest you uninstall Vortex at this point and reinstall it, and then set the download and mod staging folder from within Vortex

you can't simply pick up and move any program and expect it to work. try it with office, or chrome or whatever.

there are remnants and defaults all over the place which are now broken so you can expect vortex to not work given the sabotage that you've inflicted on it.

HTR is correct - uninstall vortex - but it's not that simple.

if you don't have it, i'd recommend you download the free version of revo uninstaller, and use that to uninstall vortex/

then I would recommend you look at something like ccleaner or bleachbit which will purge any broken links from your registry (I don't normally recommend these programs but i think its the only thing you can do to try and clean out your system).

Once you have done that and you have completely removed all remnants of your broken vortex, try a clean install.

After manually removing all of the mentions of Vortex in regedit and installing it again, the application now seems to work.

I'm starting mod management now to test it out further, and will see if anything pops up that's wrong.
