How can I get my wyrebash load order to match in vortex...

Everything was in the green listing wise in wyrebash. I moved and had the perfect sort order with no issues. I created the batch file then quit wyrebash. I decided to open it back up and the sort order is all out of order again. I'm guessing vortex and wyrebash are not seeing eye to eye when it comes to the mod order. Since the load order in vortex was totally different in wyrebash. Should I just stick to wyrebash to start the skyrim game with skse? Or is there a setting in vortex I can turn off to not mess with the load order. Any suggestions? Since I would hate to redo the load order every time I want to play skyrim.

Why bother using Vortex if you're just going to continue to mess up your Vortex load order with Wryebash?

What are people suddenly posting about Wryebash and Vortex all of a sudden?

The only thing you should be doing with Wryebash if you're using Vortex as your Mod Manager is using it to make Bash Patches.

My load order in Wryebash matches my load order, because after I load Wryebash and get the "Load order has changed" I hit Control+Z

I also have my Wryebash Load order UNLOCKED (right click to get the option to unlock your load order in wryebash, otherwise you are going to spend an eternity fighting Wryebash against Vortex and never playing.)

For starters I just started to get into Skyrim again since Oldrim version with NMM. Vortex is still new to me and there's a lot of things I like about it compared to the old NMM. However, I normally do use Wyrebash for just batch file creation but found it easy to do my load order with it. I don't get the message "Load order has changed" when I open up Wyrebash and the Control + Z is new to me and now I know how to "revert my list back" thanks to you. Though, I don't see the "UNLOCKED" feature that you're talking about. I right clicked on the left and right side of Wyrebash to no avail. If that will help match my load order from Wyrebash and transcribe it into Vortex I would be extremely happy. Since I rather use Vortex since I use it to download and manage all my mods.

I believe you have to right click on the header of a column in the left hand pane to make sure the load order isn't locked.

Cool, found it but it was already unlocked. So I'm doing something wrong with Vortex. Or a setting in Vortex is messing with me.

Don't chase the colors in the load order in WryeBash

If they were all green in Wryebash, then you sorted them with Vortex and now some are red, it's only because the masters are in a different order than the person who made the MOd's masters were ordered

Fixing the masters was the first thing I did by opening up those mods and saving them in the creation kit. So they should have the correct master order. What I usually see in the discrepancy is for example "Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim.esp" should be below "CollegeOfWinterholdImmersive.esp". What I end up seeing is that "CollegeOfWinterholdImmersive.esp" is all the way down on the list causing a conflict. This happens with other mods that needs to be lower on the load order but end up being near the top.

You can fix the masters a LOT easier by just loading them in Xedit, and pick the red esp and then SORT MASTERS.

But Why do you think you need to do that?

All WryeBash is telling you is "The masters for this Mod were sorted THIS way when the Mod author made this mod"

What you are trying to do is reproduce the load order of every mod author who's mods you're using.

Have fun with that.

What guide are you following that's has made you obsessed with doing this?
