some mods just won't work

I need some guidance on what may be the problem. with some of the mods I have downloaded. I have 166 mods that I use. and I also use Vortex and LOOT. I understand that loading or unloading mod mid game is a no no. Most of the mods that I use I have used in the past with no problems. So this play through I have enable all the mods that I have used in the past plus a couple that I want to try out. one mod that I have never been able to get to work is "BELT FASTENED QUIVERS" and I don't know why. one that I have used many times in the past without a problem. is "FASTER MINING" . And now it wont work at all. When I run LOOT (I have fixed all of the warnings and errors. and now receive 0 warnings and 0 errors). I have also used Gophers tutorial on cleaning The master files. What am I doing wrong or what am I not doing that I should be. I am old but not a complete moron. I don't know how to Mod.

XPMSE already includes Belt Fastened Quivers, so that mod (Belt Fastened Quivers) is not needed and should be un-installed. you will need to re-install XPMSE

 

Belt Fastened Quivers is not working because it includes a Skeleton.hkx which XPMSE also includes. so both mods are not compatible, however since XPMSE already includes said mod, i strongly recommend keeping it, not too mention it fixes some stuff as well, and also includes Physics support. quite a few mods will require it.

 

as for the other mods, if they are Skyrim Legendary Edition mods, they would need ported, many mods from oldrim will not work out of the box in Skyrim SE (Porting is pretty easy, depending on the mod)

 

for Faster Mining, you probably have a mod conflict, something that is replacing the MineoreScript.pex file. or simply a mod is making it redundant. (mods that come to mind would be any mod that deals with ore veins or smithing overhaul)

 

for advanced modding, you will need SSEEdit: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/164

 

Download it, Run it - Press ok when the Master Plugin/Selection Dialogue Popsup (to load all mods)

 

then once it has finished loading all mods - right click on any mod, and select: Apply Filter For Cleaning

 

once that has finished Take note of Any Mod(s) that Have - Red Text and Or Background: These Are Mod Conflicts, these can result in all sorts of issues, from CTDs to mods overriding each other, which in itself can make Mods Redundant.

Thank you very much PYROSTORM that is very helpful very good info to know. I do use SSEEdit but have only cleaned the main files per Gophers Tutorial. But I will do what you suggest.

To add on to what pyrostorm pointed out, I specifically noticed you have arsmetallica being loaded after fastermining. I haven't used arsmetallica, but if that contains mining changes then I would take a look at the two mods in SSEEdit to see if fastermining is being overwritten.
