atreath
Currently X4 is not actually supported by Vortex despite being programed to. I use the current 17.7 version. Reason for problem: at some point egosoft changed the mod folder location from: (game folder)\extentions to: Documents\Egosoft\X4\(steam id if you have one)\extensions If you try to install mods to the main game folder X4 simply won't load at all. In contrast after cut-paste to new location they work just fine. For reference I double checked the "open game mods folder" option and it went directly to the wrong location. atreath
If i could do that I would. When I click on the "three dots" as the instuctions say; no such option comes up. So I posted here.
AugustaCalidia
When I read your latest post, I checked my Vortex 0.17.7 to see if it provides a feedback option. It does not. I then installed v. 0.17.6, and it does have a feedback option. However, when I pressed the "Send Feedback" button, I received a message that feedback is no longer accepted from older versions of Vortex because of current feedback volume. If the lack of a feedback option is a bug in Vorttex 0.17.7, and not just a glitch in my own installed copy, then we seem to be caught in a "Catch 22" situation in regard to using the Vortex feedback channel. Is anyone else beside OP and me experiencing this problem? Was there some feedback change announcement that I missed? I checked the Changelog but saw nothing there. rmm200
A request from you is an order to be followed...0.17.5 has a Feedback tab. It refuses to post feedback because Vortex is not current.Downloading and installing 0.17.7 gives no feedback option at all. This is busted - and we can't report it as busted. Mr. Site Manager - we could use a hand here...

The extension for X4 was provided by a community member: https://github.com/alexparlett You could start up a github issue for them to let them know providing all crucial information. As I don't own the game, you may be in a better position to do that than I am. They would need to know the exact path, with an exact example (i.e. what exactly do you mean by Steam ID? Numbers or the username?). Also, are you saying the path for GOG users would be "Documents\Egosoft\X4\extensions" ? That is another thing Alex would need to know! No feedback button:  It's being looked into! Sorry about that!
