Maharg67
I would like to see a mod created for Oblivion that has Varla, Welkynd Stones not vanishing when they are used up but becoming 'uncharged stones' that then can be recharged somehow to become usable once more. Perhaps one could create new kinds of Ayleid Stones by making the same with new colors and new uses.
Lanceor
Since nobody has replied in a few days... If it's okay with you, can I grab this idea and make something out of it? It won't actually be for a standalone mod, but I have been looking for additional content for the Knights of the Nine: Revelation Expansion Pack, and this looks like a nice bonus that won't be too hard to script and won't make the player overpowered. :)

Deylendor
Go for it. Sounds great. I look forward to using your mod when you are finished. This kind of mod has already been made.Respawning Varla & Welkynd Stones.esp from Khettiennahttp://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/29007 But you have to clean the mod with Wrye bash. Contains some dirty references.

Maharg67
I have used the mod you speak of. Nor did I speak of respawning stones but permanent ones that do not vanish when you use them but need to be recharged. The idea of recharging stones at Ayleid Wells sounds great. Thanks for the feedback, both of you, and the link to the mod. Edited August 8, 2012 by Maharg67
cfh85
I like the idea of this but I can't think of a difficult way to recharge the stones. I personally think using Ayleid Wells or Soul Trap would be too easy. If people can come up with some more suggestions for recharging them I would like to make this as a stand alone mod and include it in the mod I'm working on. cfh85
a slight improvement on this would be if the place summoned creatures to the cave once the stones are put there. You can place as many stones there as you want, but for every stone a creature will be summoned. Increase the waiting period to 2 weeks (maybe more) to encourage you to place more stones at a time. Maybe make the creature Ayleid ghosts? something ayleid
