Anyway to select specific game .EXE?

Playing 7 Days to Die and for local servers/games the regular one it uses '7DaysToDie.exe' is fine, however, playing online using profiles with select mods I have to use the EAC or 'Easy Anti Cheat'.

I found no way to select which .exe the game is running or a way to change it or support a 'command line' passing in args (unsure if EAC supports this) but in general?'. Is there something I'm missing or could this be some feature request?

I went and renamed the original, non-EAC binary, to something else and renamed the EAC enabled version to the one Vortex wants to use and I get security errors with it so no dice.

Just asking as I really want to use Vortex and 'Profiles' to specify different servers with different 'mod sets' but also use EAC online.

Thanks!

Seem's the '7DaysToDie_EAC.exe' is simply a "wrapper" and it then calls the regular '7DaysToDie.exe' after launching EAC. Renaming the two .exe's defeats the purpose and while EAC launches; it cannot find the regular binary because I've renamed it to be the EAC one (if that makes sense). Is there possibly a checkbox to enable EAC thus launching the EAC binary first? Sorry, used the older 7D2D launcher which makes a copy of the whole game, places the mods you want, and can enable Admin and EAC all in one startup but it's a bit messy and I have issues with it as well. Not sure if Vortex supports 'plugins' or anything yet (still too new with Vortex itself) but I'm a dev so I'll look into that option as well.

Thanks in advance and I'll continue to search fourms and web but to-date, nothing like that I could find easily that came up.

Cheers!

In your dashboard you can create whatever shortcuts you want. For Skyrim SE, we typically do one for SKSE.

In that case, we tick the Default box so when you click Skyrim SE, it launches through SKSE.

In your case, just create multiple shortcuts and launch the one you want through the dashboard.

Odd.. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what you were describing about 'shortcuts'.

I tried dragging, modding profile, etc but nothing worked. I proceeded to uninstall Vortex and then scour drives and registry for settings to remove. Only after re-installing "clean" was I able to then see that box in Dashboard that you could add your own .exe and tools. Weird.

I created a shortcut for the EAC version of the binary, choose my profile and launched. I'm hoping this is it since some online servers require mods a, b, c, others are generic vanilla 7D2D, and yet others have a complete mod pack. I'm hoping with profiles and this shortcut way it works out how I want. Will test tomorrow and many thanks for your help. Still unsure why that ability wasn't in my Dashboard already as I enabled all the options in Settings and such but still could not get *any* game I have in Vortex now to show up like that. Maybe settings from a prior/old version were complicating things but for now; it seems like this may do what I need it to do. Thanks!
