I bought a armored troll today well at fort dawnguard, and it vanished without a trace well I was fetching crossbow schematics, waste of 500 gold :verymad:

might of seen the line you see when rescuing people during the companion's side quests, the one you get when you fast travel with a rescued NPC, so on and so forth has taken there leave line, something to those words and then you have to run back and find the rescued NPC you lost during fast travel, hope I explained that ok!..

seen a sentence when returning to fort dawnguard regarding my troll with that line mentioned above!..

I'm playing the vampire hunters on my PC. I just finished the Soul Cairn quest and haven't had any bugs or crashes at all in the whole game. I haven't tried to buy the armored troll, though. I'm playing mod-free. The only issue I've noticed is there is one spot in the Soul Cairn where there is a minor pathing issue that made it difficult for my followers to follow me. I had to go back and get them and try leading them in a different direction, and that worked fine. It was such a minor issue that I wouldn't even call it a bug. It just means the pathing should have been improved in that one spot.

Jupitus: I saw the skeletal horse several times and my game didn't crash. Could be a mod conflict, or could be a graphics card incompatibility? Don't know. My graphics card is an Nvidia Geforce GTX 260. I know with some games the game will crash because of being incompatible with certain graphics cards, even if the graphics cards are considered good, non-crappy cards.

The only issue I had with it - was because I didn't start a new game. Most of the.. really problematic bugs stopped being buggy. I.E. Doors not opening when you use the levers.

A major bug I had, was when I was fighting a Gargoyle Sentinel. I switched to vampire lord form, switched back a few seconds later after dealing fall damage with the vampiric grip (effectively throwing the gargoyle) - switched back, but still maintained vampire lord form - Went into First Person, and was wielding my Daedric Greatsword - having Vampire Lord hands, and I could even see the vampire lord's chin in the first person.

This bug caused me to be invincible, but at the cost of losing about 15-20minutes progression due to the large zone i was in, as i couldn't access the menus (would only go to the perk tree) or lockpick doors, pick things up that kind of stuff - I think the bug is caused by quickly switching in and out of vampire lord form.

There are other minor bugs too, but they ain't super significantly game breaking like the one i mentioned.. haven't come any other major bugs in all fairness. So far, i'm surprised and the story is quite good.

Cheers

All that I've had happen so far is lots of loading freezes. I'd go through a door and it would never finish loading where I was going until I closed the game via the task manager and re-launched it. Sometimes it would load and then after about five seconds it would freeze after I entered a new area. I updated all the mods I'm running if I didn't have the latest version to see if they were causing it, but I didn't have enough time to test it before work. It was annoying because to get as far as I've gotten in the vampire lord side, I have had to close/re-launch the game easily 30-35 times.

I'm really hoping that is all I needed to do and it can be the end of the freezing crap because I've never had any other issues with Skyrim since I first got it in December aside from a handful of crashes from the game itself. I've had other issues, but its always been because of mod related problems like the ones I was having with Sounds of Skyrim at first.

Snowsong thanks for your reply, I found this thread for people having exterior Ctds, my log looks like this:

Cast Point 10 [ObjectReference < (020142F8)>] IS loaded, so casting lightning at it.

[08/08/2012 - 11:32:17AM] [DLC1RandomLightningStrikeTrigSCRIPT < (0200D84D)>]Cast Point 1 [ObjectReference < (0200D852)>] IS loaded, so casting lightning at it.

[08/08/2012 - 11:32:18AM] [DLC1RandomLightningStrikeTrigSCRIPT < (02013F0B)>]Cast Point 5 [ObjectReference < (02013FBF)>] IS loaded, so casting lightning at it.

[08/08/2012 - 11:32:20AM] [DLC1RandomLightningStrikeTrigSCRIPT < (02014314)>]Cast Point 1 [ObjectReference < (02014316)>] IS NULL, so not casting lightning at it.

Apparently it is related to the lightning strikes in the area and not the horse, just need to figure out whats going on with object 02014316 I suppose.

I've restarted my Dawnguard quest and I'm getting the exact same bugs I've had when I played it the first time around.

The Moth Priest keeps attacking me after I free him (even after I kick his ass and he asks me to stop).

I can't place any ingredients in the bowl before entering the Soul Cairn.

After typing in console commands to advance, I still can't enter the Soul Cairn.

Very frustrating.

I'm playing Vampire side now. Absolutely no major bugs. The only was one where I clicked on shadowmere during revert form and I actually melded into him. I was running around AS shadowmere for a while, it was pretty cool lol.

I've also had no bugs or crashes. I'm running 1.7 (heard of some rolling back to 1.6), SKSE (with container categorization on), official high res plus a few other high res replacers, very few, small mods which do pretty isolated things, and I've been playing with my old save from 11/11/11. Level 59 when I started, now almost 62. I'm with the Dawnguard and have all side quest finished for them and all but 2 or 3 misc side quests, and only the final main quest left to play. In total, I've been playing 33 hours and my save is 17.2MB now.

One might say having so little mods is why, but I've read some stories of using a fresh, unmodded save and still having bugs. If that's the case, the only possibilities are hardware and software configurations, and make sure to use Steam's Verify Integrity tool to make sure it's not downloaded incorrectly.
