i will admit morrowind is more to my taste due to the lack of bugs and the ability to build things ( strongholds) just lacking good things like people with jobs and that and good looking people etc etc its basiclly one or the other

For me, Definately!

This is the overall best game that I have ever played.

Mostly though, I'm sure it's due to how I can interact with it using the CS, and that I can share in others creative efforts. We can make this game world anything we can imagine. I have never played or seen another game that has this unending potential.

Prior to Oblivion my favorite was Neverwinter Nights I (I had gotten pretty good with the Aurora Construction Set, and was tackling custom-scripting when I re-enlisted in the Army and suddenly had no free-time for around a year).

Oblivion's definately my favorite computer game, but I'm still preferential to pen-&-paper RPGs... more social interaction, better snacks, there's never an issue with Load Order on plain ol' D20 dice, and I'm typically the GameMaster (which satisfies my inherent superiority-complex quite nicely).

Can i say Conan Online, without having things thrown at me? And thats because of the human interraction. Before that, Oblivion was it, and would be again, if i wasnt afraid of it killing my pc again. Only started playing Conan, after pc came back to life, because I thot it had similarities to Ob, in appearance.

Oblivion..however with that said..IF, Morrowind's combat system where far better, it might be debatable..there were many advantages, I thought the Bloodmoon expansion was awesome, and I feel the Storyline was much deeper than Oblivions..

With Morrowind Graphics extender and scripts extender and mods the graphics are like Oblivions now..But the awkward combat system is what made me come back, the mods in Oblivion just keep on making the game new..LIke starting over to do Giskards mods, and now once gain to reach level 20 so I can do Lost Spires..

The new starts like arrive by ship take away the Boredom.. and a few other alternate starts, that make it interesting..

But I do miss the way travelling around Morrowind seemed so realistic, like a Long walk from towm to town, rather allot like Ireland you know..well without the monsters..,basically..awe you know what i mean la.. once I Dl cliff racer extinction.Goddess I abhored those things..

Emma and Grumpy(rest his soul) companion mods were unbeatable, there is yet to be a real romance mod made for Oblivion..

So as you See Oblivion is what I play, but Morrowind will always have a piece of my heart I think, because of so many reasons..One I fell in love there settled down, courted and dated and left behind a pain in the arse gal that won my heart..that you had to work to win that love.and keep it...It made it seem more like life..

It was more than just kiiling and fighting thanks to modders like Emma..who also made at least two of her mods Laura being one, gender indifferent, another milestone crossed in Morrowind not yet crossed in Oblivion..

I think Morrowind modders were much more open minded, about certain things...Now its all about sex, we have sex animations, but no-one yet has accomplished what Emma did in Laura Craft, a simple animation throw arms around your neck and kiss you..Eh like I would like to see romance introduced into Oblivion, that would make it perfect..

So aye eh like I love Oblivion la..and its the game I play..like eh I will always love Morrowind..too..and thats my say..la

I did the whole nintendo, gamecube,PS1&2 thing but never played a PC game until I read an article about Oblivion. I thought it sounded like something I would play so I bough a copy. I am now playing it for the fifth time and have more than 200 hrs in this latest game. I found Tesnexus and mods and that was it. Now I'm building my own mod. Bethesda built a game, the fans of that game have made it a real world. I can go to Cyrodiil and ride horses, explore ruins, walk in the forests and fields and even go for a swim. I bought another Oblivion pack that contained both TNOTN and SI but I haven't installed either. There are still places to go, things to see, ruins to explore and creatures to kill in the game.
