IcarusShadowarsCreed
Hello, i just got a new computer so my idea was to move in the appdata vortex folder and Skyrim folder to the same folder paths they were in my previous pc like the vortex guide told me to (although my user folder name changed but it still loaded the configurations and mods correctly) but i'm facing some issues i have no idea how to deal with.First of all, cyclic interaction error, it notifies me it can't sort the mods because of a cyclic interaction rule error. But the thing is that i never had this problem in my previous setup in my previous pc, and all i did was move folders i didn't mess with any mods again so i'm 100% of sure this is the program glitching as the guide said it might be unstable, it's notifying of a problem that doesn't exist, and to confirm i don't even have any specific custom rules to any of the mods in the picture, and because of this i can't sort and when i try to install a mod it doesn't sort too it stays stuck. Other problem is when i'm installing a mod it pops up warning about files being changed outside the program and it's like a bunch of files for a bunch of mods, i tried doing ''save changes'' and it took a little of lag then pressed confirm and then i noticed it just had f***ed up everything it deleted mods, bsas, esps, etc and nothing was working as if i hadn't installed a bunch of mods, it's like if i pressed revert changes instead of save changes, anyways i have no idea what the hell it did but at least i had a backup of my vortex and skyrim folder to try again. So, what should i do? i'm doing this because i want to keep my configuration and settings saved to mods in case i need change or uninstall things i installed before, and ''start anew'' isnt gonna work because it was sorta complicated to set up my current modlist and imagine how long it would take to do it again hence why i'm asking if there's a way to get rid of these bugs or at least start a new vortex but keeping my current mods working at least even if i lose the setup and configurations i made permanently. HadToRegister
How did you 'move' the folders?Outside of Vortex using Windows File Explorer, or by moving them with Vortex?
IcarusShadowarsCreed
How did you 'move' the folders? Outside of Vortex using Windows File Explorer, or by moving them with Vortex? I put the skyrim folder where it used to be and the big vortex folder on the roaming folder like the guide saidi'm not sure which download folder is that..theres like many folders which could be that one, could you specify more?Like cause theres a downloads folder which is all .rar files, and theres nothing different, on my old pc it was (user)>appdata>roaming>vortex>downloads, now it still is because i just moved the folder back to where it was, in roaming.yes i checked in my settings and its still same path too. HadToRegister
Well, whatever the case, you have mods in a group that are conflicting with where Alternate Start is in your load order. It says you have a custom rule somewhere, so you need to find it, and get rid of it.Did you assign the mods mentioned above into a group?Because that's 'kind of' making a rule too, because Groups load in certain places in the load order, and from the error message, the group that one or two mods is in, is trying to load in the wrong order related to Alternate Start

Did you assign the mods mentioned above into a group?Because that's 'kind of' making a rule too, because Groups load in certain places in the load order, and from the error message, the group that one or two mods is in, is trying to load in the wrong order related to Alternate Start As i said in the start post, i don't have any rules on these mods, it's probably a glitch, i removed the userlist.yaml file and it stopped notifying me on startup about the cyclic errors but i still can't install any mod or even modify anything because deployment just nukes my skyrim and vortex folders, it checks for external changes then it props up a thousand changes for a bunch of mods and no matter what i do it always nukes a bunch of mods as if they were never installed deleting files and making the skyrim folder double the size (from 20gb to 40 for example)Right now i didn't press anything in the external changes window i just pressed ''confirm'' cause i can't press cancel or else the mod isn't deployed, but i have to press confirm so i pressed it and i managed to get past the stuck sorting but it still nuked everything and i like only have 40% of what i had installed.http://prntscr.com/n8ikqz If i could get past this external changes process and then maybe by luck getting past the sorting then technically i would be fine. HadToRegister
Try renaming the masterlist.yaml as well and let Vortex remake it
