jscook8
Is it possible to install vortex on a completely different drive from my steam/game files and folders. My games are currently installed on C;\ bit it is 80+% full. I'd like to install vortex on either my D:\ or E:\. will this cause issues with game play? Apologies if this has been asked and answered already
HadToRegister
You can install Vortex wherever you want. However, the IMPORTANT thing is to put your Mod Staging Folder on the same drive as your games. You're best bet is to download the Custom Installer Version
rmm200
I have to say - you sort of have things backwards. The Vortex executable is not very big. I have it in Program Files and I am very jealous of my C drive. It is not big enough to care. What you really need to get off your C drive are your games. Those are huge anymore. Steam will move them for you - if they are from Steam.Do watch out for files Vortex stores in Appdata - those can get big.And I recommend what I did - move Documents and Downloads and anything else that takes up lots of space off your C disk. Windows supports relocating those.
