Crashing and Load Issues

When I first load my current Fallout 4 save everything is fine. When I try to quicksave once the game freezes the crashes. However if I die before I quicksave, the game will stay open and appear to load fine. But it never does load, and never crashes.

This is the first issue I have had with them, and I know what the issue is just not how to fix it. I installed the South of the sea AWCKR patch and then the issues started happening.

It's a hit or miss problem. Some folks never have an issue with it, some folks ALWAYS have an issue with it, and everything in between. I don't use quicksaves, or autosaves, as beth games have had issues with 'em, since morrowind.

Have you looked at your event viewer? Under System there should be a warning at the time of the crash. What does it say?

Do you mean the Windows Event Viewer or something in the Fallout folder I cannot find?

A windows event. Tied to the crash. It should tell you what didn't agree with your game.

I am looking for it and cannot seem to locate it. Let me try to launch it again to see if anything new pops up this time.

Just hit the start button, type "event viewer" and look what it says under windows protocols/system
