Guest deleted66030366
When I reset WIndows I said keep files. After the reset, Skyrim still works and so do all the mods. They are in the Vortex Mods folder I setup but don't show up in Vortex cause I had to reinstall Vortex itself cause it was removed during reset. Now it says I can't use that old mods folder unless empty, so I need to figure out how to get the Vortex Mods folder that I use to have that is still working to deploy in the Vortex program without uninstalling them all or removing anything. I'm concerned if I make a new staging folder if all the mods stop working, and even if they don't I still can't access them
kamikatze13
did you backup your %appdata% folder, i.e. where vortex stores all it's configurations as well as the mod loadout database? if not, i have some bad news for you.

So if I just copy and paste the current contents of the staging folder into the new one I will make, they will continue to work, and will show up in vortex/ This is what I planned to do, I was just afraid it'd screw up what I have, so I will give it a go. I didn't expect any of the mods to work, I figured I'd have to redo them all, but was shocked that everything is working, had I known this, I would have looked into backing up Vortex. If you keep files, Windows literally kept everything for me, Vortex was only vital programs that got uninstalled, only other stuff was basic stuff you just reinstall no sweat. Guest deleted66030366
Alright, I was able to transfer the mods, and they are working, however I had a huge problem I was only using like 100 mods, but for some reason 200ish was in the file, so when I clicked enable all, I enabled many I didn't want to use and all the ones I disabled to get things to work. So after a lot of messing around I got Skyrim to load a save pre-any mods. The problem, I had a ton of issues, specifically, all the girls lost their jiggle, everyone was stuck in T pose, and all the faces aren't pretty anymore. So I'm gonna reinstall a bunch of stuff til I get them to work how I had them before. I did make a list, I just can't find it yet.
