Purr4me
All Bethesda games hide all their bad items within the bsa BA2 archives. So, in order to make repairs to the games structure, you need to repairs the source code. Then Block the bad stuff from loading at all.To do that , you use the game it's self to assist in the repairs. If you load the GOTY masters into the geck, and make a short cut to the warning .txt on the desk top, as you browse through things in the view window, the warning text will show all the bad files listed in that text document.these can not be repaired in bsa archives.Overwriting them does not repair the games structure. The bad code still loads.IF you block that bad code Entirely? guess what you get?
Deleted54170User
The basic rule to get Fallout 3 to work on Windows 10 is not to put it in either Program Files or Program Files (x86). If you haven't got a spare Hard drive to put it in, Create a New Folder in the list, outside either Program Files or Program Files (x86) and name it Bethesda Softworks Fallout, Then run the installer. Run the installer to set it up. When it asks you if want to put it in the default folder, click on the spot to choose another folder to the right of the address, and find your new Fallout3 folder. Follow the steps until it asks if you would like a Short cut on your desktop and say No! Once it is all set up in the folder. Go in and find the main folder open it and look for the launcher. Here's where things can get a little tricky. Best way to assure no problems is get one of the Ancient mod load order apps which are still available. It will save you a lot of headaches. When you chose to use it one I barely remember is put into your folder and a short cut to it is on your desktop. You open it and it shows you all the mods and gives you help organizing their order. Hm? My old brain is tiring as I type. Now where did I put that??? There it is... Fallout Mod Manager. It's around here on Nexus Mods somewhere? Ah! If you can't find it try this LINK Ancient as they may be the tools for Fallout 3 are important to set up the game and have fun. The FOSE LOADER is another app tool that will make life easier for your gaming fun.

Version 0.14.14.5 is available here: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/54991?tab=files and was last updated Dec. 2018.
