Slow Download Speeds - All Premium & CDN Servers

Hi folks,

 

I've never been able to get over 450KB/s from Nexus, whether I've been premium or not, manually or mod manager downloading. The best I get is 450 on Singapore and CDN, and lower on the other ones as I live in Australia so Singapore is closest.

 

My actual internet speed is 100mbps and that's the speed I get; takes me under 10 minutes to download Skyrim SE but significantly more just to download SMIM or other large files. I use MO2 to download, but as I said I've also tried manual and it's the same speed. I only get 250KB/s downloading the 1GB sample file from the help page for this topic. I'm at my wit's end here as to why I'm not nearly getting the speeds I hear other people are getting, when I've got better internet than some of them. Is it just because I'm in Australia and we're too far away for Nexus' servers or something?

 

I'd really appreciate any help, and thank you in advance for those that do. Please let me know if I can provide any other information to assist.

I'm afraid the download speeds seem to be hit or miss in Australia, depending on your ISP. Some of our Aus users report good speeds to either Singapore or LA, some report bad speeds. Unfortunately, there is very little we can do about this. We bought the SIngapore server literally for our Aus users, and that server alone costs twice as much as our servers in the Americas and Europe due to the horrific price of bandwidth in that area of the world.

 

We are happy to offer a refund to any of our users who are getting inadequate speeds, because there is no easy solution to the problem.

Oh that won't at all be necessary; I've downloaded more than my fair share of mods from you guys. I figured it would had to have been the Australian factor. I know how bad the server costs are in Australia, for whatever reason, so I appreciate the effort nonetheless aha.

 

I'll just stick to Singapore. Thanks very much for the replies you two.
