Vortex killed my game

have you bothered to find out that there is an up to date version of NMM available right now that is 100% compatible with the new API?

if you don't want to use vortex, or you can't use vortex, and you want to use NMM, there's nothing stopping you going and getting it and carrying on using it.

yeah i'm already using it, but the API doesn't work for me, but this is a problem with my PC not with the program or anything.

But the API is a new feature and it is stopping me from downloading the mods directly to NMM, now I have to manually download them, which is a bit annoying and I don't really get this change and why it is neccesary.

It could log in before quite easily with or without the password to my account. But as I said, I'm propably the only one with that problem so i don't expect/demand that it will be changed.

well, I used Vortex and it created massive problems for me. This is a discussion thread for feedback, isn't it?

And I want there to be more warnings about importing mods from NMM or using the guide that I was using here on the main page or just delete/change that guide so it doesn't tell you to delete all your mods!

Additionally, I would encourage you guys to listen more to feedback even if it's negative, because that way you may get more supporters and not make everyone who has problems with the program hate you, by being quite aggressive in the response or straight out insulting them and calling them incompetent.

Since you have to start over, this would be a good time to try Vortex the proper way.

By installing a few mods on a clean, unmodded install.

You will slowly learn how to use Vortex, and will find yourself slowly dropping all of the bad habits that NMM has taught you.

Importing from NMM to Vortex, is a feature that really shouldn't be in Vortex, as NMM corrupts the files that Vortex needs to properly import NMM to Vortex, and unfortunately, Vortex gets blamed for it.

you guys are just s#*!-talking NMM now...

Why should NMM be blamed for a feature that is part of Vortex. Vortex promises to be able to import all the mods from NMM so an easy conversion to Vortex is possible, and this is the only reason I tried the app.
But this feature doesn't work, so it's all on Vortex for doing false advertisement.
And the Vortex' guide that told me to delete all the mods on NMM (which is basically killing the game) or otherwise it will cause troubles with Vortex is also false advertisement and only there to force a shift to Vortex.
And false advertisement could be considered a scam, even tho it might not be intended, but somehow it seems it is...

Again you are trying to promote Vortex by de-promoting NMM, which is pretty toxic and you don't even state what bad habits NMM taught me, because why does it even matter.
NMM works and Vortex doesn't, atleast not the way it is promoted. And if I have to watch hours of guide and tutorials when I can just use a working Mod organizer, then you should I even bother?

Until now, I know of no advantages Vortex has over NMM apart the nex-gen design.

Stop swearing or get reported.

The IMPORT from NMM was a feature in Vortex from the Beginning.

YES, Vortex promised to be able to import the NMM setup, and then it was discovered that NMM was corrupting the files that Vortex needed to import everything correctly.

Sorry that this is difficult news for you to accept, considering that you believe NMM is completely flawless and only other Mod Managers have flaws, but it's true.

Which is why the Dev for Vortex, and the Nexus team started telling people to STAY WITH NMM and don't try and Migrate.

Case after case revealed that the particular files necessary for Vortex to use for import were corrupted by NMM.

This became clear when more and more people started reporting errors with Importing from NMM, and it was discovered that in all of those cases, it was corrupted files that NMM had saved that was causing the import problems.

Since then, the Nexus has been advising people to NOT import from NMM into Vortex, and to STAY WITH NMM if they have a working set up.

How is that attacking NMM, of the Vortex dev team is telling people to stay with NMM?

How is that in ANY WAY, TOXIC?

Good lord, if we say "Stick with Vortex" we get attacked, if we say "Stick with NMM because NMM corrupts the files needed to import to Vortex" we get attacked and called TOXIC.

If people are telling to stay with NMM, how come that the guide, i got linked right at the beginning, told me to import the mods from NMM.

All I ask is that the guide gets taken down, which ruined my game.

For me, yesterday, it was advertised to use Vortex as a new and better mod manager than NMM, and that NMM is no longer supported by Nexus mods, and therefore I should convert to Vortex.

And it was said that I should import my NMM mods to Vortex with its "amaizing" feature.

That guide was directly linked when I wanted to download Vortex and if it's deleted or changed now, it's fine.

The problem is that people would read the guide FIRST and then come here to complain.
