EpicVikingNinja
I am currently using vortex mod manager to manage my Skyrim SE mods, I have downloaded many mods, but when I downloaded certain Model and texture mods as well as animation mods, they do not appear in my plugin section, downloading and installing goes perfectly, but once I enable the said mod it reads enabled but not appearing in the plugin section or recognized by LOOT, to add to that I have experienced the same issue while using NMM and MO2. any advice will help thank you. Moksha8088
Not all mods have .esm or .esp files or even the new creation club file, so they will not show up as plug-ins.

showler
Any mod that replaces vanilla assets (textures, models, animations, sounds, etc.) will work without a plugin because the original game files will still call for the file by the same name. A direct replacement simply replaces the vanilla asset and is used instead. Plugins are required for anything that introduces new assets or uses existing assets in a different way. If the mod doesn't come with a plugin, and it isn't working, it's because something is wrong in your setup. And we'll need a lot more detail to provide any help (mod manager used, name of mod that isn't working, what you did to install it, etc.)
Emmanini
I am using 'Transparent glass werks and bottles bugfix' through Nexus. I have downloaded it into my Vortex. I am unsure why it is only half working and I am hoping someone can help me understand. It is only showing up in my mods section, and not my plugins, so I am assuming it doesn't have one. Furthermore, I can't seem to figure out how to organize it properly in my load order or if that is even necessary. I'm kind of new to this and have only been working with mods for the past 2 months. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me. To clarify, the exact issue I am having with this mod is that some glass items are showing up corrected while others are coming up neon purple, neon pink, or a smokey color. Not sure what could be causing this. I tried using gloomy glass instead and it works okay but doesn't have the same nice effects the other mod claims. Again, I would be thankful for any guidance and help! :) Thanks much!
7531Leonidas
I cannot find your mod by searching the title on Nexus. Open Vortex, go to the mods tab, find your mod in the list, and right-click on it. If it is a mod that is still on Nexus, then you will see an option to "Open on Nexus Mods". Do that, and copy the link into your post, so that we can see it. You can also get Vortex to open the install location by selecting the "Open in File Manager" entry instead. As an aside, if you look at the download area for your mod, at the bottom of the box is a link to allow you to "Preview file contents". That will allow you to see which files are in the d/l, including .esp and/or .esm.
Roccondil
I suspect that part of the reason is that Transparent glass werks and bottles bugfix is a Fallout 4 mod, not Skyrim SE/AE mod. And yea, it only replaces meshes, no esp needed. Edited December 5, 2022 by Roccondil
