ALEXXiRAPTOR
Hi. For starters, I'm on Windows 10 64-bit and have used Vortex seamlessly (mainly modding Skyrim SE with ~135 mods) until this new update. I wasn't sure how to update the application (the "download" button that pops up with the notification in the program itself didn't do anything) and I ran the .exe to see if it would install the new version. Instead I get a downgrade error -- -- and here's an image of the .exe file name -- I've made a copy of the staging folder with all my mods in case that gets deleted (if I have to uninstall Vortex). How can I fix this error and update to the newest version? Edit: This isn't the .exe in the C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex folder. I downloaded this to my D: drive when I first got Vortex. Running the Vortex.exe in the Program folders path results in the same error. Edit 2: Fixed it. I thought that uninstalling & reinstalling Vortex would remove my mods and make my computer implode (jokes on the latter) but it's all fine. I have an unfortunate habit of panicking uselessly. Sorry. Mystise
Just had the same experience trying to reinstall - oh gosh, vortex freaks me out! Settled down now, but have acquired a few grey hairs in the process! :P.
InvictusAssassin
So all you have to do to fix it is just uninstall and reinstall?
