SirFrank114
First of all, I understand very little of mod managers but have gotten them to work for many of the popular games of the past 15 years. I,m now trying to replay Fallout 3 but without success. Yes, I did change my install location to C:/Games and made the multi processer fix.The problem I'm having is; Nexus is converting my downloaded mods to ESP files instead of ESM files. I'm sure it's something in where I have set up my directories. Any suggestions on what ti do? Please don't be too technical.
HadToRegister
1. You're asking for help for Fallout 3 in the Skyrim Forum2. Nexus or Vortex don't change the file extensions on ANYTHING3. If your file extensions are changing, i'ts probably caused by your browser or an antivirus program on your system, that renames files you download, this seems to be a common problem in the support forums as well.4. Your Vortex download directory can be wherever you want it.5. Your Mod Staging Folder, needs to be on the same hardrive as the game. You set it here on this screen
Guest deleted34304850
you may want to ask the mods to move this post to the vortex support forum, as that seems to be the best place for it, and you will get a lot of good help there.
