Minuteman308
HeyYou Seems a standard tactic of the right to paint anything obama does as "socialist"... it's simply a buzzword lately. Watch , thats all i have to say. VindekarrOn a more serious topic, I would, in this situation vote democrat, though only as a lesser evil.Vote for the lesser of two evil, buy the lesser of two evil, marriage the lesser of two evil, get enslaved by the lesser of two evil....Are these full grown adults i'am talking with? dazzerfong
@ Mandamus: At least China doesn't start random wars. @ All Americans: In this election, are you more looking forward to the parties' economic plans, charisma, military strategy or their legal changes? None of the above.... Neither party is really good for america any more. They are all out for themselves, to see how much of the taxpayers money they can put in their pockets. Ghogiel
Thats a heck of a lot of money (lost revenue), particularly since it's an english news item, that english trillions are 1000 times larger than american trillions (we use a different system of calculating trillions). The UK and US both have the same number of zeros in their trillions.
mizdarby
Thats a heck of a lot of money (lost revenue), particularly since it's an english news item, that english trillions are 1000 times larger than american trillions (we use a different system of calculating trillions). The UK and US both have the same number of zeros in their trillions.Your right, the older system used by UK and Australia had been replaced by the US one.The "new" Trillion is 1,000,000,000,000The "old" Trillion is 1,000,000,000,000,000,000.The old one was the one I learnt at school, wasn't aware that we had adopted the US nomenclature. Either way it's still heck of a lot of money. Thanks for pointing that out. Edited September 9, 2012 by mizdarby
dazzerfong
@ HeyYou: Of course, but under hypothetical circumstances, in that both parties actually do what they say, which ones do you agree under their policies?
Mandamus
@ Mandamus: At least China doesn't start random wars.Yeah, that's true. As I said, the US is not perfect, I'm not looking at that country through rose tinted glasses. What the US did in southern America is not really commendable either. But still, I do think China as the world leader would be far worse, given their modern history. That's just my opinion though, and it's not really on topic so I'll leave it at that. HeyYou
@ HeyYou: Of course, but under hypothetical circumstances, in that both parties actually do what they say, which ones do you agree under their policies? Neither really..... I haven't cared for american foreign policy since the 90's. Our government is way too spend-happy with other peoples money. The politicians seem to be in it for what they can get for themselves... if they were actually to do what they say..... I would probably fall over dead from a heart attack..... but, I fall somewhere between the the parties. I am a firm advocate of the second amendment, but I am also pro-choice.... I think government sticks their noses into far too many places that it simply doesn't belong. Drug policy is actually counter-productive..... and both sides have their own pets they cater to, neither of which should be happening. (lobbyists...... the bane of useful legislation....) csgators
At least China doesn't start random wars. Tell that to Tibet, Taiwan and Vietnam amongst others. You can maybe quibble with the word "random" but the USA's wars are not exactly "random" either.
Syco21
Voting for one criminal because they promise to use a different kind of lube when they bend you over is still voting to have a criminal violate you. I'll have none of it. I'll vote third party, and even if the person i vote for loses, then at least i didn't consent to being violated.
