Vortex mods not working

They are both on my (D:) drive, and I haven't changed the file directories for anything. I just used the default

My vortex is:

(D:) > Seagate backup drive > Vortex Mods > Downloads > Fallout 4

My Fallout is :

D: > The Gaming Folder > Steamapps > Common > Fallout 4

Also, If I understand right, I didn't uninstall Vortex, Just Fallout. Should I reinstall Vortex, and if so, where should I reinstall it to?

No, you're good, but if you're seeing old mods, then Vortex is grabbing the info from somewhere else. (Or are they old mods you had installed with NMM?)

They aren't mods, but ENB files alongside F4SE which I thought would've been wiped when I reinstalled. All my mods have wiped, which is why I keep getting so confused as to why I would be getting issues.

The whole situation is kind of a mess...from the black screen issue to the mods crashing on start, trying to make heads or tails of the whole situation is maddening.

If you uninstalled the game, you shouldn't have ENB mods in your game folder.

Which means, you probably have a bunch more files that survived the uninstall as well

You should probably uninstall Fallout 4, and make sure that the Fallout 4 folder doesn't even exists in Steam\Steamapps\common\

Alright. I guess I'll have to do that then. Not an easy call, but one I'll have to make. What should I do with Vortex in the meantime? Just leave it be or reinstall that too?

Might be best, in order to clean everything up, because if Vortex keeps finding old mods, there's definitely something wrong with the setup that will eventually come back to bite you

Well that's probably going to be the rest of my night, so I'll hopefully have an update by the morning

Hopefully it shouldn't take too long, unless downloading Skyrim is what's going to soak up the most time.

One suggestion, start up the game before you commit to installing a bunch of mods, to make sure you don't have anything appearing that shouldn't be, like old ENBs etc.

Then install a few mods, start the game again etc...
