Vortex Load issues confirmed

I posted earlier about Vortex and issues with Skyrim SE. After deleting Vortex completely and installing MO2 and reinstalling all the mods I had before my issue started the game worked and loaded fine. I then did a full fresh install of Skyrim SE removing all mods went back to Vortex downloaded all mods I had before and game failed to launch and just sat at the start screen with me looking at the Skyrim Logo for about an hour. I am not sure what Vortex is doing or "not" doing but it seems to be broken. MO2 works perfectly never used it before today but not had issues once. This is with 231 mods installed. I am not a programmer nor am I savy with computers but I am pretty sure something major is wrong with this program and might need a fix.

Edited: Before its mentioned No I made sure all my .exe's where NOT set to run as Admin. I already know thats a problem and made sure that was not the case

You will need to provide more information. Start here:

When trying a new mod manager, you don't start with 231 mods. Start with ONE mod and make sure everything works.

Second point: If you have 231 mods, old saves you value, and a mod manager that works for you - don't change mod managers.

Start with Vortex on a different game or a new game.

@mcintyrejjm

For the past year I've been using Vortex to manage Skyrim SE on two separate computers and have had no problems of any significance. I run nothing as an administrator.

Why you have this problem is a mystery to me, but I don't think it has anything to do with a fundamental flaw in Vortex. I've used Vortex for over a year to manage successfully Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Fallout NV, Skyrim SE, and Enderal. All of my hiccups have been minor.

If you wish to continue with Vortex, follow the advice rmm200 has given. Otherwise, stay with MO2 (a very fine mod manager) and enjoy your game.

Vortex only installs mods into the game, it's not "active" within the game process.

So whatever is keeping your game from starting up right is one of the mods you have installed (or a combination of mods).

The only way this is a Vortex issue is if Vortex didn't install a mod right but for us to have any chance of verifying and fixing that you have to find out which mod and how Vortex didn't install it correctly.

Besides: Installing the same mods in another mod manager proofs nothing, for all we know MO2 didn't install the offending mod at all and thereby that mod didn't have an opportunity to break your game.
