mizdarby
Globalization ... yes well, it's like someone throwing dye onto clothing but withholding the water so that even though the dye is present the stain doesn't truly saturate everything.Almost like the spirit being willing but the flesh being weak. What I mean by this is that though a common desire might be present to establish some kind of conformity or even uniformity amongst the nations of the world, the problem will always be our divergent political systems ... destroy that barrier and globalization becomes a reality.Beautifully worded, and I agree with the sentiment. The notion of a "one world" nation, has the potential to be the greatest achievement of the human species, with true peace and co-operation towards utopian ideals, where the wealth of the world is shared equally between all the peoples' of the world. But right now, the human race is a million miles from that, globalization may well be the way eventually, but not for many decades if not centuries yet. Yes, a utopian state with a single and undivided vision that embraces all everywhere and on an equal footing, with the view to eliminate poverty and eradicate sickness and diseasesounds absolutely brilliant ... the problem though is that we are human ... And within many of us resides a driving hunger, a potential principle for greatnes and every once in a while it manifests it's beautiful head and we find a man or woman breaking away from the crowd conquoring Everest or exploring the unkown or creating something they said couldnt be done etc.Breaking it down to where many of us are it manifests in a person starting their own business, studying hard to become a lawyer or doctor to escape the ghetto or even stepping up to the plate and being a better mom or responsible father. Now, that drive within us VARIES FROM PERSON TO PERSON, and it is because of this that we will always have the "have's and the have not's".There will always be those who rise ... always, and there will always be those who don't ... look around you at your friends, including your family, remember those from school, college or Uni (varsity) did they all become successful ? ... No.I rest my case ... and in a utopian world it will be exactly the same. And that will create ranks and classes and then we're back to where we are now.It is impossible to have a society with the rich and the poor residing side by side in a utopian world because the rich will always gather to themselves the resources just as it is now. At the cost or expense with which we are all familiar .. which is is the laziness of the lazy, the foolishness of the ignorant, the poverty mindset of the poor and the weakness of the weak. The only way that everyone is going to be the same is going to be because you "make them " be the same through force which means authoritarian rule, i.e dictatorship. Can you imagine living in a world where you are successful and yet have to constantly take your resources and give or share them with another who squanders it because of foolishness or ignorance or who is just plain lazy or gullible ...because we "love" them ? .... Never.

If you are talking about being happy and fulfilled in life. I can accept that, but I think you are talking about striking it rich and being lucrative. Which imo has less to do with a passion and exploring the creative darkness than is being made out here. I know I can make more money doing things I would rather not spend my life doing. Even most master craftsman aren't going to be rich by todays standards.
HeyYou
There are way too many differences among humans for us EVER to all 'just get along'. Religion, political ideologies, and just plain stubborness will prevent it from ever happening on its own. The ONLY way for the world to unite would be because of some OUTSIDE threat coming down the pike. (I.E. alien invasion, or some such) Without the external stimulus, we will muddle along as we always have....
