Fallout 4 not starting via Vortex

Didn't noticed after which update it stopped working but... Turning off "Run as Administrator" worked out, thanks ! :cool:

Something a bit unrelated but, when I try to start Fallout 4, via vortex, it pop's out a screen F4SE couldn't find Fallout 4.exe, and so yeah i probably won't get a reply by some old posts from 2019, its a probability, and also probably i won't check this anymore, because i may forgot about this.

If F4SE says it can't find the executable - believe it.

Check your F4SE shortcut on the dashboard. Make sure the path is correct - and you select Primary.

Hm,i didn't really try that because im not that much of ``pc-know-it-all`` you know, i guess,

BUT il give it a try now!

 

 

Also erm, what do you mean by the ``make sure the path is correct.``

One the dashboard look at the entry called Fallout 4 Script Extender. Click the three dots. Select Edit.

The target path is shown. Make sure it is correct. Mine is: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\f4se_loader.exe

don't know if you'll have time to reply but you seem really helpful and i don't know what to do. my target is to your demonstrated path and its set to my primary, i'm still getting a black screen for a second upon crashing (no error message or anything) while launching from vortex. starting up from steam works but a few of my mods aren't working along with MCM not being detected, im using f4se, tried clearing the plugins and reinstalling too. thank you if you reply : )

Try starting the game directly from the F4SE_Loader.exe in the game directory. See if the game starts. Steam should already be running in the background when you try that.
