Minor Feature Suggestion: Vortex Taskbar Flash On Download

This is a minor suggestion: I think it would be nice to have the vortex application do the orange-flashy-thing (I'm unsure of what this is actually called, sorry) whenever a download is started clicking a 'download with mod manager' link (and if the vortex window is not currently in focus). A good example of this is when an application throws up a UAC prompt (e.g. yes/no prompt saying 'Do you want to allow x to make changes to your device'), the application will have an orange flashing rectangle surrounding it on the taskbar. I feel that this would help prevent duplicate downloads by giving users good feedback when they initiate a download. Also, after some quick googling I found that the windows api function related to this (in C++) is:

BOOL FlashWindowEx(
PFLASHWINFO pfwi
);

More info about the function here [Link] and the initial forum post on stack exchange that I found about this can be found here [Link].

I hope that these links are helpful in some way if others share my want for this feature to be in Vortex. This is my first post on a forum so I apologize if I've done anything wrong, I'll do my utmost to fix it if I have :smile:

Feature suggestions are tracked better if you submit them through Vortex.

Just copy what you posted here, open Vortex, and click the upper right three dots.

Select Send Feedback, and paste in your text. Those actually wind up in a tracking database.

@rmm200 Okay I'll do that, thank you! I had no idea about that feature

@HadtoRegister I now have it enabled, thank you for telling me about it. With that specific setting, I feel as though my suggestion has been rendered a bit moot. However, I do completely agree that on older versions of windows it would be very necessary. I'll add that to my submission through Vortex for extra context.
