XBigBoyHD Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Hey guys i have been having this annoying popup whilst playing fallout 3 it pops up every 5 seconds it has been bugging me so much that it has made the game unplayable and i know i can make the HUD invisible but thats not the point i want to have the HUD visible anyway i only have a few mods installed :http://imgur.com/GP9tX i just dont know what the problem is i dont even have FOSE downloaded i have no clue what it is i just installed a mod a friend told me about that i really want to play and since i installed it i have been getting the pop up its annoying anyway here is the popup :http://imgur.com/WflBV , i have the steam goty version btw if that makes a difference just please someone help me get rid of it thanks.
BlackRampage Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 The RTS mod requires FOSE to run correctly. If you don't have FOSE, or aren't running it, you'll get this message. FOSE can be found here: http://fose.silverlock.org// Your should also correct your load order. I'd recommend using BOSS to do so. BOSS can be downloaded here: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/10193

First start like this: Fallout.esm Anchorage.esm ThePitt.esm BrokenSteel.esm PointLookout.esm Zeta.esmGood back to the download page for all your mods and read the installation instructions. While your are there, read the requirements. If you continue to download and install mods without reading the instructions, you will have nothing but continuing problems.

Thanks im downloading "boss" right now , oh and how do i install fose on the steam version of the game i have the rar file i just dont know what directory to extract to
BlackRampage Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 (edited) It would be all too easy to simply tell you where to extract it to, but I think you'd help yourself much more in the long run by reading the Readme that's provided with the mod. (this is true for any mod btw)Just extract the file inside whatever folder you downloaded it, then open it up to find the Readme.txt file. Edited September 8, 2012 by BlackRampage

flagstone149 Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I'm having the same problem for another reason: Just installed RadeonPro and ditched the Catalyst. Since the installation, the game doesn't find FOSE and my enb setting got twisted. I figure i'm confused the the launcher feature of RadeonPro -- a la not properly launching the game with FOSE. If anyone has insight into using RadeonPro i'd be mighty grateful. Thought I'd try to highjack this thread before making a new one. Is that polite forum etiquette?
