DarkAngelfr
I had Skyrim install in my storage disk but it eventually got destroyed (-.-). So I reinstall it on my hard drive but when i try to manage it it says : "The game location doesn't exist or isn't writeable D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Vortex" D:\ wich is my destroyed storage disk. How can I fix it ? I tried to reinstall vortex and to set the location of the game manually but nothing work....
anjenthedog
a low level fix would be to find and change the registry setting left over from the original install. switch "D:\" to whatever the new drive letter is. Otherwise I'm not sure.

The problem is that Vortex is still looking for D:\ when it's not in the system anymore. Click on GAMES tab------------>MANAGED------------>Click on the + sign in the Game Thumbnail--------->Click MANUALLY SET LOCATION

"D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim\vortex" You should NEVER put your MODS, or Mod staging folder INSIDE the Game folder. Go to SETTINGS------>MODS, and check what you have for a path Also check SETTINGS------>DOWNLOADS and check the path, most likely one, or both of those settings is looking for D:\
