shalheira
Hi folks! I have a little problem and I need help... I want to create a companion with the fantastic"CM Partners Mod Basic". The problem starts here: I want to have for companion a character that I've uploaded to the Nexus months ago, A sexy Cute Elf Eareynis, and I'm not able to do this :wallbash:. Anyone knows what I should do? Thank to us all.

WEll I do know to use a custom race mod for the CM partner you have to use Wyre bash. There are some pretty specific directions on how to do it....Wyre also lets you face export but I know not how. I am sure others wiull come along here to help you more. :)
humanbean234
My strategy in using any construction set has always been "Download, examine, and plagiarize." Try downloading another CM mod, preferably with a Companion of the same race as you desire, and look at how that mod is organized. If necessary, plagiarize the base of that mod, change the companion's looks and inventory to suit your needs, delete them from the cell they spawn in and place them into the new cell, etc, etc. Just be certain that if you publish your version of the mod, you give credit to the original modder for using it. DavidTheSlayer
I believe that the CM Partners mod, (as I've asked this before) comes with a guide to creating your own NPC then adding it etc etc. I think you just have to follow the CM partner guide, simply re-creating your char. I'm not quite sure how to do it as I've barely looked into it, but try this..... Please backup your stuff as this is completely off the top of my head + a guess at how to do this. 0) Read that guide, you'll see how to add a partner, then read what I've put below, it may give you an idea on how to do this. 1) Load CS (no active file selected) with the race mods etc you want (this enables you to get your hair & eyes that you want etc) 2) Make a new race with all the stats you want to start out with etc etc, in the TES:CS. (Have you noted the numbers or at least how you got your char's face?)If so then using the CS, edit that new race you made and re-make that face. Then use part of the CM Partners mod guide to add that race, hopefully it'll work, otherwise, it'll be something along those lines w/wo extra steps. Last resort....PM the CM Partner's author, maybe their experience can help. Good luck!

Anyone knows what I should do? Thank to us all. Lisnpuppy has given you the right indications. Use Wrye Bash to import the face from your save file to an empty esp file. That will create an NPC with the face of your character. Then edit the NPC in that esp file following the instructions given by Blackie in the documentation included in the CM partners mod. :)
LHammonds
Since this is not related to the Nexus site, I am moving it from the site feedback area to the Oblivion Mod Talk forum. LHammonds (Moderator)
