Red Vex
Okay... I'm torn between a couple issues with a character I've been trying to make up. Not my first character, but hopefully one that works. I want to play a character using unarmored skill. Because I like the way characters look in clothes, not armor. But I also want to use the Blinding Boots of Speed and a few other light armor pieces with special effects. Or just for aesthetic purposes because the shoes in this game look stupid as hell. So my problem is that I don't know if wearing one or two pieces of light armor will adversely affect my unarmored skill. Can I put Unarmored as a major skill and Light Armor as a minor skill and use them together?
Peregrine
Yes. Each part of your armor is calculated separately, and each part contributes a set fraciton of your overall rating. So depending on the relative skill levels, your armor rating will change, but you'll still get credit for wearing both.
cactoblasta
Although neither skill will progress as quickly as if you were just wearing one type.
Dijas
Try to look for some mods. There are some better looking shoes, armor, robes, etc. (better bodies and better heads included)Probably you'll like it and you won't need this Unarmored skill so much (which doesn't offer the same protection as any armor). Maquissar
Unarmored isn't that bad, it lets you carry many more things and/or move faster... a full ebony suit is HEAVY! However, I think the unarmored skill only gets usable at high levels :) To Red Vex: How about wearing armor AND then wearing a cloak, or a cape, on top of it, thus preserving aestethic appearance? :)
Switch
And please note, unless your unarmoured and light armour skills remain equal, wearing armour from the lower skill level will drop your armour rating :P
