Merpkiller
So I decided to give fallout 4 vr a shot recently, though, I also made sure to download the various addons needed to make the game playable according to most, so I picked out what I could from the vr category of the fallout 4 section on the nexus mods site, and figured "bam, it's good." I get into vortex and look at mods to enable them, yet, I don't see them in the fallout 4 vr game that I select, figuring it's odd, I look around, press a few buttons, later install fallout 4, only to find out that all the mods I downloaded from that vr section, have been crammed into the fallout 4 base game, with no way for me to access them in fallout 4 vr. I've tried throwing the esm files and such into the data folder for fallout 4 vr, archive invalidation and such, some guides, but none of them seem to work, I'll just get into fallout 4 vr and none of the addons will be active. Anyone got some tips and tricks? I'd like to do a little more in fallout 4 vr than just play through the game as is. (I mean, apparently a lone brahmin is supposed to take like 50 shots to kill with a pipe pistol, which seems a bit odd, even for fallout 4.)Another thing, when did they even add vortex compatibility for fallout 4 vr? last time I remember trying this, fallout 4 vr didn't even register with the mod manager. All mods for the fallout 4 section are purely vr centered mods, so I don't get why they aren't working on the fallout 4 vr game. (When i launched fallout 4 also, the screen was off centered for some reason and the reticle was pointing away from where the gun was aiming on my pc monitor, was it in VR mode somehow even though I was playing the keyboard and mouse version somehow?) I assume it works the same way with FO VR as it does with Skyrim and Enderal Since the Nexus INSISTED on jamming FO4 and FO4VR together, if you download VR titles while using the Vortex VR profile, the files will go to the Fallout 4 folder by design, and when you go to install them with the FO4 VR profile, a popup should show up saying that the mod you're installing is for another game, but the OK button will say "Install Fallout VR" That's how it works when installing Standalone Enderal Mods I download Skyrim Mods, the mods go into the Skyrim Download folder, but when I install them in Enderal a popup says I'm installing the mod to a different game and the button says "Install Enderal"
Merpkiller
So, what you're saying is that I need to reinstall the game with the vortex profile active? Install the mods that way? or are you implying there should be another method to install the games through? As of the moment, I have fallout 4 on steam and installed it through steam's programming. Also, Enderal? Is that another program I don't know about? or is that the mod you are talking about?

You need to install the VR mods while Managing Fallout VR.IF you're managing Fallout 4 at the time, then the mods will install to Fallout 4.IF you're managing Fallout VR, then a pop up should tell you that you're going to install the FO4 mod to Fallout VR instead
Merpkiller
I see what you're getting at, I'll try it again, though, when I was downloading these mods, I did not have fallout 4 previously installed on this computer. only fallout 4 vr, and that is the only one it had detected. It's really weird.
