Uploading mod updates

Delete old file and upload/replace new should work.

I just upload the new version, in the file options you can mark it as MAIN, OLD or OPTIONAL FILE, i rename the old version and mention it in the description as well - can't miss that. MAIN FILE will be listed first as well, there is a little binocular icon in each mod description if you want to track a mod and get noticed 'bout news. User that track your file will see the update in the tracking centre.

See here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23903 (file section)

The user interface for managing your mods is not very intuitive, especially for updating mods...

I tried to delete the original file. It sad I didn't have permission.

It seems you're not supposed to replace the previous version , but instead add the updated

version to the file list, so that the user can choose which version to use?

How about if I do it like this:

1. Click on Files

2. Click on ADD FILES

3. choose "Update file" under "Category"

Is that the best way to do it?

First of all try to log off and log on to the site again, and if something that suppose to work wont try that again there is sometimes problems in the site.

I do updates this way (without update file just a total new version download)

1. click FILES

2. Click ADD FILES

3. upload the new version and under VERSION write something like 1.1 or 2.0 so it will be higher the the older one

4. make sure its catagory is MAIN FILE and click SUBMIT

5. go to FILES again

6. find the old version that i dont want people to download

7. Press EDIT FILE under it

8. Choose catagory OLD VERSION

4. click SUBMIT
