Adaeron
So I decided to come back to Nexus for my mod manager after fighting with another version. I downloaded the Vortex mod manager installer from Nexux Mods own page and after a AV scan, ran the .exe for the MSI. I get the usual Windows 'do you want to do this' message and accept. The first thing I get is a fatal error message pop-up that says Vortex Setup: Windows 7 and above is required. I have tried to run this as an Admin in a user account, logged in on an admin account, and even as an admin rights operation while logged in on the master admin account. Each time I get the same message and the installer quits. HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF Intel Core i5-4590 @ 3.30GHZ 12GB ram Windows 7 Professional 64-bit OS OS Current build 7601 DEP on for essential programs There is no appdata that I can find so I think the MSI is not seeing the OS version it is looking on the initial fetch and stopping the script. Typically I don't have issues fixing grumpy MSI's but this one has me stumped. Any help is appreciated.
rmm200
Vortex is hosted on Github. There are instructions at this link for doing a manual build. If the Windows Installer is refusing to work for you, this may be worth a try. https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Vortex
HadToRegister
Also, I asked this in the other thread you started about thisOut of curiosity Right click the installer pick PROPERTIES---------->COMPATIBILITY and make sure Compatibility mode isn't checked and nothing is set to Vista or XP etc. Also do you mean it's an actual "Vortex.msi" or "Vortex.exe?
