LXE97
Okay, when I launch Oblivion from Steam, OBSE loads fine. When I run it from Vortex it doesn't run OBSE. I added OBSE tool path to Vortex as well. So my question: Do you need to launch from Vortex to use vortex-installed mods, or will they still be enabled due to hardlink method? Most likely your problem is that you didn't set OBSE as PRIMARY
Rattledagger
In my experience where's a problem with Steam + OBSE, where if you want to run OBSE through Vortex you'll either need to have Oblivion installed on the same partition you have got Steam itself installed, or you need to copy some of the Steam DLL-files to the Oblivion directory or something. Personally I've only tried moving Obliviion and for me this solved the problem. If OBSE works if you run OBSE from a shortcut on your Windows desktop, all mods installed will work and the only down-side is you can't run OBSE from inside Vortex. Personally I've only tried moving Obliviion and for me this solved the problem. Another option that works for me (with a single caveat, that I'll mention in a second) and should handle many / most annoying or complex Steam installations of Oblivion is to launch Oblivion via the Steam executable. The only downside I've experienced so far is that because most users leave Steam running in the background often/always Vortex will continue to display "Running..." in the tool entry when you exit the game, but so far it hasn't caused me any problems. Update: I spoke too soon, the Steam "Running..." does interfere with Vortex modifying mods, specifically the Deploy action. The work-around type solution appears to require quitting Vortex after launching Oblivion via Steam.exe -applaunch. So Add Tool / New...
