ross67344
If I don't run Vortex as an administrator, tasks like managing a new game or purging/deploying mods will prompt the UAC to pop up. After I click "Accept", Vortex seems to get stuck. I've attached screenshots of Vortex after I've clicked "Yes" during the UAC prompt. However, if I run Vortex as an administrator, these issues no longer appear. If I click Dismiss and cancel to close the overlay and return to Vortex, then try any of these operations, the UAC no longer appears and I don't think Vortex does anything with the mods (no purging or deployment) - no notification appears after deploying that reminds me to enable mods in game. Vortex does have that warning that says it's not designed to be run with elevated privileges, so I'm wondering if anyone's encountered the same issue or has a fix, or if this is a bug. HadToRegister
DO NOT run Vortex as an AdministratorMake sure UAC is turned ONYou may have to "Take Ownership" of the Folders and Files that Vortex used when it was run as an Administrator, I know I did. Where is your Mod Staging Folder located and where do you have your Games installed?

Your mod staging folder in Vortex needs to be on the same drive as your game
