Oroborus15
I tried Skyrim Special Edition for the first time because after 250 mods my Oldrim is starting to show it's age. The SE already has better textures and lighting so that's a few of the higher end mods taken care of. Regardless, Vortex can't see Special Edition, the fixes I found online say to uninstall vortex and reinstall. What I want to know is if I uninstall and reinstall vortex will it keep my Oldrim and Fallout 4 mods, or at least be able to find and re-manage the mods I have? Is there a way to force it to find Special Edition?
Olivir2019
If you go in Vortex to Games/Supported, you should be able to set up the location for SSE manually.
rmm200
It is concerning that Vortex did not find it automatically. If it is installed by Steam, in the current location, Vortex will find it if you have it's drive defined as a game path. Check Settings. Note: Your Registry entry for Skyrim SE also has to match it's current location.
Pickysaurus
[...] I found online say to uninstall vortex and reinstall. I'm curious where you found this advice?
