I've been following this thread since it began, and the progress is incredible, as is the attention to detail. If I were to humbly suggest a source for inspiration, it would be the Polish hussar armour that developed in the late middle-ages and early renaissance. It's an interesting fusion of eastern and western styles, and tends to be quite unique and dramatic in its design. Edit6: how fickle my heart and how woosy my eyes I'll drink to that. Although I get the feeling I've got some catching up to do... And yes, the winged hussars were a later development. Their armour was the most distinctive of the Polish designs, though, and that's why I'm suggesting it as inspiration. It's your mod, you decide what suits your tastes. :) The third helm is definitely decorative, but some officers did fight in overly ornate armour. There wasn't nearly the same emphasis on camouflage back then as there is today. I still think it would look pretty nice as a general or officer's helm, but if it doesn't appeal to you, there are always the other two to consider.
