alexsilvestre
You've come a long way, nice to see you are still making more armors for your mod. Great work on the designs, Actus, the Ulfric Armor is specially badass :)
somevagrant
Wouldn't a cape get in the way during combat? I mean, I can see royalty and such wearing it, but your typical guard, especially in riften, seems more inclined to be more mobile in order to catch those pesky thieves. Patrick2me
Wouldn't a cape get in the way during combat? Not just in combat, but I also imagine capes getting in the way when trying to run through foliage and stuff. A quick google search told me that capes were often used to distinguished ranks and alliances, so I could understand a guard captain using a cape to show his/her position. Maybe you could make the capes a separate piece of equipment like the Cloaks of Skyrim mod and only give it to high ranking guards. Also I think that back in medieval times people wore more of a cloak kind of thing rather then a cape to keep warm. But it really depends on what your style is; if your trying to be more aesthetically pleasing or historically accurate. Either way, the armor looks amazing. pandm101
Is there any chance for a standalone set of all of the armors and weapons that you could just put in a chest, as I absolutely love the 13th century armors, but I have a lot of mods on mine already that are armor overhauls. Also, I'm not an amazing modder, but I am a damn good history buff, and I'd love to help you out. http://therionarms.com/links.shtml lots of good weapons made now in old styles. http://www.madmattsarmory.com/14thCentury.php Armor, modern made old styles Fiore fighting style if you change animations http://www.thearma.org/essays/Fiore/FioreDeiLiberi_StudyGuide.v3.6.pdf http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0756606543?ie=UTF8&tag=stormthecastl-20&link_code=as3&camp=211189&creative=373489&creativeASIN=0756606543 good book http://www.aemma.org/vmp/books/armsArmour.htm books, some affordable, some not so much http://www.armorandarmsclub.org/research.html book references http://books.google.com/books?id=tftMAAAAMAAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_ge_summary_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q&f=false free Ebook, very good reference

That is a picture for my idea of a "Knight of the Hold", this ranks him much higher than said guard captain.. This is not a town guard.. somevagrant
Also I think that back in medieval times people wore more of a cloak kind of thing rather then a cape to keep warm. But it really depends on what your style is; if your trying to be more aesthetically pleasing or historically accurate. You're thinking of a mantle or gugel. @ActusReus:I like the mod nonetheless, but its one thing to reinterpret the lore to something more historically accurate, and another thing to ignore it completely. The other holds are very poor, with the exception of Solitude and possibly Dawnstar. Solitude mainly because of the Imperial occupation, Dawnstar because its a trading hub, as is Whiterun. The other holds have a barbaric, goth/hun/mongol aesthetic going on. Not all holds have the ability to purchase and maintain top of the line, heavily armored suits for their guards and the like. I figure a high ranking guard would get a different coloration, and perhaps a slightly modified suit of arms. Slightly reinforced armor, something within the budget of the hold. Windhelm's look I can understand; Ulfric is probably exporting all the goods he gets from Imperial raids to finance the armors and other supplies while leaving the rest of the city in ruins, alongside the Dunmeri quarter and the rest of the populous of Windhelm. You wanna be realistic, consider these sorts of things. Looking forward to the mod either way, but I just hope this wont become another Witcher 2 rehash with every dick and jane wearing plated armor when in the environment of Skyrim its really impractical.
