Credo - WIP

Oh man, dat dere looks mighty fine. The overall UVs have a ton of potential in terms of palettes and textile textures; cant wait to fiddle with it once its released. Been waiting for an armor like this for eons. On that note, has anyone attempted/mentioned working on making new outfits for the dunmer? The typical clothing that Dragonborn added was gaudy as all hell; it would be neat to see someone tackle making robes and other outfits for the dunmer based off the Morrowind design works or even perhaps some of the various outfits seen in fanart. Totally understandable if its not gonna be considered here, seeing as this is a continuation of the Credo mod, a mod which so far has relied on irl examples of dress and the like. Either way, great work.

The armor is good. I actually think the helmet liked good but just needed sine kind of crest to add something more to it. the chain mail I was talking about was to replace the leather vest breast plate so stretching wouldn't have been a problem. The addition of the shoulder guard is nice, maybe add some metal playing to it?. The mask is nice though, it makes sense because of sand storms in hammer fell. Anyway to merge the mask and hood look with a crested helmet like the one on hothtroopers redknight armor. The green is okay but I just can't see it making sense in a desert environent. Sandy red, orange, cream and browns maybe. the elaborate Arabic rug style patterns are still something I believe should be added though, they help give the alikr such a distinguished Arabic/oriental feel. Maybe just on the hood or embedded into the armor fabric or even add a cape which would actually work very well.

Will you be doing faction armors like thieves armor and dark brotherhood? Maybe a mages armor, battle Mage type.

Have you thought about adding accessories like pouches, bags and other items to suitable armors?

Here is a more sand-colored variant. He will not have any more armor. If anything, I will remove the shoulder pad.

Yes, We will do the factions. I think the mages guild is pritty done already, we can just use the ones from the witcher game as they are. Just some minor texture work required. But we will do thieves guild, companions and db.

I actually agree with removing the shoulder pad. Or possible replacing it with one single pad rather than the four plate pad that is there now. For some reason it just seems too unbalanced to have and it just seems a bit out of place. Really like the colors too. My favorites are the green and tan ones but the pink is not really my taste. Really good work Luddi!

Yes. The sand colour and the red are much better. The shoulder guard looks really good, don't lose that. What about small metal plates on the gauntlets, chest plate and shoulder guard just to cement the fact that these are frontline soldiers. I not saying that they should have a full set of iron armor but just some plating on certain pieces, kinda like a reinforced leather look. The sand colour brings out the fabric patten nicely. The red and the sand suit the hammerfell theme. The other option would be a white linen with a dirty look. Have you considered gold threading?

Is there anyway you can incorporate a helmet with a spear/spike like crest into the hood and face mask concept? Kinda like this but keeping your face mask ideas aswell.

Another thing is the flared sleeves on the armor in the picture I linked to, they give a almost pirate like feel that adds to thre alikrs look. The pouches aswell, or even a scabbard for a schmitar since alikr are mainly one handed warriors. These accessories could improve the armor.

What's your opinon on these things? Great looking armor btw, loving the red and the sand. Good work

I think the shoulder pad is really good addition. Makes it a bit more armor- like.

I could believe that the armor would look a bit too plain without it.

Yeah without the shoulder pad, you lose all belief that the alikr are frontline soldiers famed for their abilitys in one handed swordsmanship. This was my biggest issue with vanilla alikr.

When exactly is it mentioned that the Alik'r are top tier frontline soldiers? I don't remember that ever being mentioned during the one quest they are involved in.
