Game root folder change (Fallout 4)

Good day Friends, first post here

 

I recently changed the place where steam saved the game and changed the root folder in the settings of Vortex, but even though it is all "fine" when I start the game It gives me the message about the game depending on mods and not being there, so it is not detecting the mods.

 

Is there any thing I can do or do I need to re download the mods?

You don't need to redownload the mods, they should all be in your DOWNLOADS folder

 

What you should've done, before you changed the location of the game folder, was you should've PURGED all your mods, then moved the game folder, and as long as the Mod Staging Folder and Download Folder remained the same, you just need to change the Directory where Fallout 4 is installed in Vortex.

I was able to PURGE my mods for Fallout 3, uninstall the Steam Version, Install the GOG Version, and Redeploy the mods in the GOG version without any hassle
