New Nexus Site Style - the "Vortex Flash"

OK so the new style is up and I'll get used to it I am sure.

But one thing that is already annoying the HECK out of me is the "Vortex Flash" that briefly pops up from the bottom of the screen when moving from one tab to another.

In the feedback requested for the new site style, I specifically said this was a non-starter.

I know about Vortex. I don't use it. I do NOT need a pop-up flashvert for the software every time I move around tabs in the site pages. I don't pay my premium for this sort of cheap site tricks.

Please GET RID OF IT.

Thank you.

That is part of the footer, it gets pushed up briefly while the new content loads in. It's not an advert or some kind of "cheap trick". If there is no content between the tab header and the footer, it's going to appear for a split second while the load completes, there's not much we can do about that.

I'm sure after a while you won't even notice it - but we'll take it into consideration when redesigning the mod pages.

Its not a huge deal but it is mildly annoying. I might get used to it, or I might block it (hopefully the page will still load fine without it)

Re: "there's not much we can do about that."

I don't get that comment. You designed it in, you could remove it.

@Pickysaurus

Keep the Vortex banner in the current design. I do not find it annoying at all. When I see the banner, it reminds me of the lengths to which Nexus Mods has gone at its own expense to provide for the modding community. I appreciate all that Nexus Mods has done and is doing for us.
