Mike04Ren
I'm trying to receive help from more experienced users or Vortex team members. Just out of curiosity, is it possible to transfer mods properly from an external drive to a new computer? I have all my mods downloaded and they DO get detected in Vortex but all the data is missing such as source or even which category it pertains to. I'm trying to see if it's possible to fix this issue or if I simply have to download them one by one all over again from the Nexus page to retrieve that data again? Apparently, I can't attach the media files to show what's going on but it says, "Mods have been changed on disk. This means mods that were managed by vortex disappeared and/or mods that Vortex previously didn't know about appeared in the staging folder since the last time it checked....If you continue now, Vortex will lose all meta information about the deleted mods irreversibly and the added mods are added with minimal meta information." HadToRegister
Double click on the mod in the MOD tab, when the right panel opens up, scroll down to MOD SOURCE, pick NEXUS MODS, then click on GUESS in the Nexus MOD ID field below that
rmm200
Mods downloaded to Vortex pick up extra information, like source, category, and mod number.Mods manually downloaded or on an external drive in a Downloads folder have none of that extra information. Open one with 7Zip and look. The way HtR gave you is the fastest way to recreate this missing data. Best part is you don't have to download the mods again.
