Relativelybest
Booooo to saying it;s not a worthwhile goal. :P Murder-free playthrough should be an option, and if it's not an option there should be a mod to make it one. I don't really see why. As has been pointed out, any real pacifist would settle down in a town and live a quiet life, or become a monk or something. That's what pacifists do; they actively avoid violence.I don't see how it's realistic to deliberatelly seek out dangerous situations (which is basically the definition of "adventure"), in a warlike society, during a civil war, with random dragon attacks, and never expect to have to defend oneself. That's not just hypocritical, but also kinda insane.

EnaiSiaion
Someone once posted a let's play of a pacifist run of Diablo, using loot from chests and killing only mandatory bosses. o_O Should someone want to proceed with this insane quest, stand in town and spam oakflesh for 20 hours until you have 75 alteration, then make your way into Winterhold (hope they ask you about light or heal spells and not destruction spells) and get paralyze from Tolfdir. No damage, lasts 10 seconds, just enough to get past them. Forget about mass paralysis though, you need to kill a dragon.

He is not a compromise or happy mean between ferocity and meekness; he is fierce to the nth and meek to the nth. When Launcelot heard himself pronounced the best knight in the world, "he wept as he had been a child that had been beaten". [...] The ideal embodied in Launcelot [...] offers the only possible escape from a world divided between wolves who do not understand, and sheep who cannot defend, the things which make life desirable." -CS Lewis, The Necessity of Chivalry
Kraeten
So, are there any other ways to do this, and is it a possible if not realistic goal? It's not really possible, no. With the exception of Mercer it's possible to achieve in the Thieves Guild Questline though.
Sucrilhus
I actually tried to do this... but eventually I reached quests that would stuck me in a room and wouldn't let me go until the "big boss" was dead... I stopped close to lvl 30 (32sh - 33sh ... I don't remember....) Here's a screen shot of her at lvl 28. http://www.skyrimnexus.com/imageshare/images/3502637-1325350246.jpg
