falconeye1995
I'm sorry if this isn't even the right place to post this but I've kinda hit a wall. So I have two profiles on the computer I have Skyrim on - mine and a friend's. I've been looking this up and I think the issue is the type of profile I'm talking about may be different from the one people normally ask about? The type I'm talking about is where, you know, you have the profile screen with your user icon on it, you have to put your password in, and we both have completely different desktops, etc. I think some people were talking about the profile function in Vortex? Which I don't really understand either so I apologize if I'm like... being super ignorant about all of this. My friend knows nothing about it either, as we've both just started using mods in general. ALSO I should mention, we share a steam account - if that has anything to do with this? Anyway, my friend has downloaded a bunch of mods and they work on her user profile, but when she signs out and I sign into mine, all of her mods are also on my Skyrim, as well as her character saves. We turned on the profiles in Vortex on both user profiles; on her Vortex it says there are two profiles, one with all her mods and one with none, and on my Vortex there is one profile with no mods - BUT when I launch the game/check the data files, the mods are still there. Is there a way to JUST remove her mods from my user profile? Or does us sharing a steam account have anything to do with it? And if we need to get separate steam accounts, will Skyrim still work for both of us since it's already downloaded onto the computer itself? Even if the answer is no, thank you for your help!! HadToRegister
Just make two profiles in VortexOne profile with her name, and her mods, and one profile with your name and the mods you want to use.
