TheDarkPrince
Just started playing it and the story is somewhat awesome. The real problem? IT HURTS TERRIBLY. I got a 21" screen and I play from a distance of 50cms screen->eyes and still after 10 minutes of playing my head just blows off and my eyes gets red like I just did a gaming night shift! This game is really great for casual gamers who got tired of Skyrim's lack of story (waiting 5 years for best mods to come out, than Ill play it again) but ffs, its unplayable! Maybe XBOX360 players can do better with the TV cause of the higher distance but for PC, its just bad. That's my share or 50 cents or w\e! Now talk! ziitch
I'm guessing your settings are too dark, making you squint to see anything. You might try adjusting brightness and contrast levels to somewhere that isn't hard on your eyes.
dragonslayer2k12
You need a 27 inch monitor. I got one of those and playing games in general now is so much better. You could always hook up your tv and use it as a monitor just to get bigger size for playing skyrim but it would not look as good.
Rennn
You don't "need" a 27 inch monitor. The lack of one is not causing this problem.

Deleted54170User
LOL you found it grabs your eyes and drags you up close and tingles all those brain cells which you've become accustomed to use in a long time. You need a little here and a little there until you regain your vertigo and mental stamina. Tired of the swift movement your mouse can do, and thrust all the scenes in your face? Are you feeling a little like you finally got home and someone stole your 55 in. HD TV? It is a great deal of eye candy, with the added flavor of world traveler with new pamphlets for the tourists that feed us a whole line of new stories. Don't you think it is just amazing what the Bethesda whips did to get a group of struggling game creators to do? I for one raise a glass to them for doing a nearly exquisite job of creating a connection of the old with the new without cutting and pasting a bunch of MORROWIND into Oblivion Into Fallout into Fallout New Vegas and so on. I find Dishonored is like candy not quite like the stuff I already tasted. Not quite like the stories I have already read and it is something Sherlock Holmes would sink his mind into to solve the case.
Rennn
Wait, what? I thought he was talking about actual physical discomfort in his eyes. After re-reading it, it just kind of sounds like he's complaining in the most roundabout, least efficient way possible.
Aegrus
I'd like to add my name to the pile that has utterly no idea what this guy is talking about. Is he complaining about pc gaming in general because of small monitors? The more I re-read it, the more that's what it sounds like.
hoofhearted4
im not sure either. he says the game hurts his eyes, but he also unnecessarily bashes Skyrim and the Xbox 360 as well as Dishonored on PC specifically. none of which have to do with his eyes. so maybe hes trying to flame? idk. if all that was unintentional by him and the game really does hurt his eyes, then idk. i havent played the game, but maybe as Ziitch said, he has to change his monitor settings or something. or maybe its time for some glasses. maybe his eyes are trying to focus in on the game, but his vision is slightly off, making his eyes strain to make a 20/20 image, even though he cannot.
