Changing Votex's scanning path

Hey so I had been using Vortex for about a year and NMM before that, and had been storing my mods on a My Passport external hard drive, labeled as F: on my computer. I then stopped playing for a while, but came back recently, created a new account and wanted to jump back into Skyrim SE. So i downloaded the game, and tried to reinstall the mods i had deleted a while ago onto my C drive, but it wouldn't let me, saying that the directory was registered on that F drive, and it couldn't transfer this path over to my C drive. So i tried the recommended steps, then tried to use a new account and redownload vortex and the game, hoping that it would reset and let me register the game location under C drive, where it is currently downloaded to. However, now it won't manage the game, since it's still looking for it on the F drive and therefore can't find it. How can I make Vortex just run through my C drive, and not try to find everything on the F drive?

So I did that and put the search directory to be the folder the game data is stored in in my C drive but when I try to manage the game it still says that "The game location doesn't exist or is isn't writeable". Under that, it shows "F:/Vortex Mods/skyrimse", with the F: referring to that external hard drive I used to use.
